JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — What is a Honey Dripper? It’s a frozen treat made with flavored juice, some with pieces of fruit mixed in. It’s served in a cup with a spoon. For many in Jacksonville, it’s become a part of Duval County culture.
The owner, A. Michele Kimbrough came up with the concept in Summer of 2008 with just two flavors in red solo cups and started the company, Honey Dripper House. Kimbrough is a native of Jacksonville’s Eastside and said it’s been a “fruitful” journey.
“Honey Dripper started way before I was born, even before my mom was born. It goes by many different names across different areas, like ‘Freeze Cup’ or ‘Lilly Dilly,'” said Kimbrough. “Back then I wanted to make some extra money and I started it very small and here we are.”…
