New York lawmakers will boost aid to Syracuse by $30 million in the final state budget – a windfall that is three times the increase requested by the governor, according to state Sen. Rachel May.
In February, Gov. Kathy Hochul proposed a $10 million increase for Syracuse from the state’s Temporary Municipal Assistance fund.
