WILMINGTON, DEL. – A North East man is facing rape charges after patrolling officers caught him, partially unclothed, with a 12-year-old girl who was getting dressed inside a vehicle at a community park, according to the New Castle County Police Department.
Investigators identified the suspect as 22-year-old Majdi Jones, who is charged with three counts of felony third-degree rape of a victim less than 16 years old, in addition to single counts of fourth-degree felony rape of a victim less than 16 years old and trespassing in a county park after dark, which is a misdemeanor, police reported.
On Friday, after his arraignment, Jones remained in the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington in lieu of $200,100 cash bail, according to police…
