ROCKFORD — Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd will hold its final worship service on Sunday after nearly eight decades on the city’s west side.
The final service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, concluding 79 years of the church.
The congregation donated its building at 1829 N. Rockton Ave. to the YMCA of Rock River Valley in December 2022 as it looked to activate space the small congregation didn’t use.
