Soggy Saturday ahead, but Memorial Day Weekend improves gradually across DC region

WASHINGTON(7News) — If you had outdoor plans for Saturday in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, or central Maryland, this is the day to stay flexible and keep the rain jacket nearby.

A coastal low riding north along a stalled front will bring a long stretch of chilly, steady rain through much of the day.

The good news? Conditions slowly improve on Sunday, and Memorial Day itself looks warmer with at least some dry windows to work around.

Saturday: A Washout for Much of the Day

Saturday is shaping up to be the toughest weather day of the holiday weekend. Rain develops early and sticks around through most of the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will struggle to climb out of the upper 50s, making it feel more like March than late May.
