16-year-old behind bars after shooting in Evansville

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A 16-year-old is in the Vanderburgh County Jail after a shooting earlier this month.

An affidavit says officers were called to an apartment in the 700 block of Court Street in Evansville on May 9. Officers found shell casings and blood on the door of the apartment. Officers found two women inside, but they were uninjured and did not talk about the shooting.

Officers outside found a Glock 19 handgun in a gravel parking lot. The gun was later identified as the one used in the shooting. A young boy was in the parking lot while officers were investigating.
