Oxford woman arrested after early morning brawl with husband

An Oxford woman was arrested on a domestic battery charge following an early morning brawl with her husband that left his glasses broken in half.

Jaclyn Channell Mace, 36, was taken into custody in the early morning hours of Friday after Wildwood Police Department officers responded to a 911 call at the couple’s home.

According to the arrest report, the couple had been engaged in a verbal altercation throughout the day. At about 3 a.m. Friday, Mace asked her husband to leave. As he gathered his belongings and headed down the stairs while calling 911 in an attempt to keep the situation from escalating, Mace allegedly chased after him.

The report indicates Mace grabbed her husband from behind around his waist and reached for his head to stop him from leaving. During the scuffle, she allegedly snatched his glasses and broke them in half. Her demeanor abruptly changed and she began begging him to stay, the report noted…
