STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Country Donuts teamed up with Egger’s Ice Cream to launch Country Cream and Brew, a food truck at 727 Page Ave., behind the gas station near the ball field. The venture pairs doughnuts from the 42-year-old bakery with ice cream from the Staten Island staple.
The truck serves coffee, juicy refreshers, doughnuts, ice pops and Egger’s ice cream classics. Customers can also order regular and specialty milkshakes and sundaes. Country Donuts’ Ed Scalzo said he especially recommends the espresso- and coffee-based shakes.
“We are so excited to be partnering with another Staten Island small business to bring together two local favorites,” said Danielle Raleigh, proprietor of Egger’s. “Collaborations like this are what community is all about, and we can’t wait for everyone to try these sweet creations.”
The partnership comes as Scalzo expands his business across Staten Island. The company operates a flagship location at 4357 Amboy Rd. in Eltingville, as well as stores at 3235 Richmond Ave. in New Springville and 877 Huguenot Ave. in Huguenot.
Scalzo recently completed a major renovation of the Eltingville flagship, where a signature drip design now anchors updated branding that will carry into future locations…
