Some donned plastic ponchos. Others huddled under umbrellas. Either way, the University of Delaware’s Class of 2026 didn’t let the steady rain and unseasonably cold temperatures dampen their spirit as they graduated Saturday morning at Delaware Stadium.
“It’s cold, it’s rainy. I mean, it’s not really what you expect for a commencement, but it’s still exciting to be here to graduate and see the speakers,” said Jason Bernart, an operations management and business analytics major from Hockessin who already has a job lined up with Boeing.
