Volunteers place 15,403 flags at Suffolk Cemetery for Memorial Day

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Dozens of volunteers gathered Friday morning at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk for an annual tradition ahead of Memorial Day.

Each volunteer placed an American Flag before Monday’s ceremony in front of every grave marker on the property, 15,403 to be exact.
