Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport lost an aviation visionary with the sudden passing of Richard “Dick” Nensel on May 14.
Mr. Nensel — a medical doctor who transitioned into a longtime aviation business at the Swanton-area airport — passed away from a heart attack at the age of 83. That very day he was driving a fuel truck at his beloved TOL Aviation Inc. and died at University of Toledo Medical Center.
