Albuquerque Museum hosts Heritage Day

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Museum hosted a Heritage Day celebration on Saturday at the Casa San Ysidro: Gutierrez Minge House. The free event allowed guests to explore the museum and its collection of artifacts. They also had a variety of interactive activities like tin work, a blacksmith, and an adobe brick-making experience, as well as live music and many art vendors.

“I think they are really important, they show that there is a continuation of tradition that’s persistent in the village and in the larger community, and so not only are we showing native and Hispanic arts, we are also showing different traditions that have been brought into New Mexico in the 20th century,” said Site Manager Aaron Gardner.
