RUBY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol (WSP) said 86-year-old David Irvine of Rathdrum was traveling south on Highway 20 along the Pend Oreille River on his motorcycle Saturday afternoon. WSP said Irvine drove into the southbound ditch south of Ruby in Pend Oreille County just before 3 p.m.
