Foundation aimed at helping solve crimes launched in honor of Idaho murder victim

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One of the most horrific crimes in recent memory sparked a friendship that’s now poised to change lives.

When four University of Idaho students were murdered in 2022, Tracie Brocco felt compelled to reach out from Charlotte to the mother of Kaylee Goncalves, one of the victims.

“Just reaching out as one mom to another,” Brocco said. “When this happened, it just broke my heart. I have a daughter around the same age as Kaylee was.”
