This Memorial Day, a Hartselle couple is remembering their son’s life of service — from his tours of duty in Iraq and five Purple Hearts to his death as a firefighter in 2013 while responding to a neighbor’s burning home in Eva.
“He actually began serving when he was big enough to work on bicycles,” Murrell Frazier said, laughing. “I’d come in from work and there’d be boys out there getting him to fix their bicycles.”
