Wilmington students advocate for ‘Solly’s Law’ to limit vaping

On April 29, students from 14 counties traveled to Raleigh to advocate for tougher laws regarding nicotine sales.

Max Hammer and Be Lanier, both students at Cape Fear Academy, were among those who met with members of the General Assembly to ask them to pass House Bill 430, also known as Solly’s Law, which aims to limit high school students’ access to tobacco products, specifically vapes.
