Wichita police investigating fatal pedestrian crash in Old Town, teen driver arrested

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Old Town early Sunday morning.

According to the Wichita Police Department, officers were dispatched to Washington Street and Douglas Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. for a report of an injury crash.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been hit by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old boy. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
