HONOLULU (KHON2) — A crowd gathered outside the War Memorial Natatorium in Waikiki the morning of Sunday, May 24 to observe Memorial Day weekend.
The tribute included a rifle salute, singing, hula, lei offerings for veterans and speeches from the Friends of the Natatorium president Mo Radke and others.
“I’m very hopeful that Memorial Day continues to mean what it’s supposed to mean, honoring our service members and that kind of buoys me to continue on the fight,” Radke said…
