The City of Covington’s Parks and Recreation Department is inviting young anglers and their families to cast a line at the upcoming Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Prisoners Lake in Devou Park.
This free community event is open to children of all skill levels, whether they are experienced anglers or fishing for the very first time. Bait will be provided, and fishing poles will be available to borrow with a parent or guardian’s ID.
Participants will have the chance to compete for fun prizes in several categories, including:
