JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Eight Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trailers have been bought and distributed to each county in Northeast Tennessee, according to the Washington County/Johnson City Emergency Management Agency (WCJCEMA).
The agency announced on social media Saturday that it and its partners helped purchase and equip the trailers, which were then distributed to all of the counties in Tennessee Emergency Management District 1.

According to the WCJCEMA, each trailer is outfitted with equipment such as chainsaws and personal protective equipment, as well as other tools to assist people during disasters. The equipment in the CERT trailers can be used to remove debris, help communities during severe weather and provide aid during emergencies.
