The sectional round of MSHSAA large-school track and field took place over the weekend, with some notable Class 4 and 5 athletes in the Southeast Missourian coverage area punching their tickets into the state championships.
Cape Central placed top-four in both the boys and girls meet, with the girls team tying Windsor for fourth at 59 points while the boys team’s 92 points placed third out of 17 in the section. Regionally, Poplar Bluff took the team title on the boys side.
