The Estes Valley Fire Protection District Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of four finalist candidates for the position of Fire Chief. The candidates are:
Peter began his public service career with the City of Victorville Fire Department in 1973. Over a distinguished 45-year career in public safety, he advanced through the ranks from firefighter to fire chief, serving in leadership positions with the Cities of Upland, Norco, Monrovia, Rancho Cucamonga, Hemet, and Wheatland. He currently serves as Volunteer Coordinator for Black Forest Fire Rescue in Colorado, a position he has held since 2026.
Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Administration and Technology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master of Science degree in Fire Protection Administration from Pacific Western University. He is a credentialed California Fire Chief and Chief Officer and is widely recognized for his expertise in fire service administration, emergency management, leadership development, and strategic planning.
