Cyclists can grab free breakfast on Bike to Work Day in Longmont, beyond

Colorado commuters are set to embrace bike pedals over gas pedals next week for Bike to Work Day.

Wednesday’s statewide event encourages people to bike to their offices and other destinations instead of driving. Participants help reduce emissions and traffic congestion, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. On the official Colorado Bike to Work Day site, biketoworkday.co, more than 4,400 people had pledged to ride next week as of Thursday morning.
