A Loveland resident is the first in Larimer County to have a confirmed case of West Nile virus this year, the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment announced Thursday.
No mosquitos in the area have tested positive for the disease so far this year, and the adult resident might have contracted the virus during travel to another state, health officials announced.
