Estes Park prepares for July 4 fireworks display with safety measures and traffic plans

Estes Park’s annual Independence Day fireworks show will return to the skies above Lake Estes on Saturday, July 4, with a 25-minute choreographed display scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

The 2026 show will feature 1,800 fireworks launched from a sandbar on Lake Estes by certified pyrotechnicians with more than 25 years of experience. Town officials said the lake provides a natural safety buffer for the event, which will be monitored by personnel from the Estes Valley Fire Protection District.
