While other dinner theaters in Northern Colorado, including in Fort Collins and Boulder have shuttered in recent years, an intimate dinner playhouse off Interstate 25 is not only thriving but expanding.
The Candlelight, a dinner playhouse in Johnstown, will be undergoing a theater campus expansion, with construction hopefully beginning in 2027. Expansion plans include constructing a new proscenium-style theater that can seat around 800 people and building more spaces for events, youth programming, shopping and community gatherings. Down the road, an outdoor amphitheater might be added to the campus.
