Longmont Public Safety is recruiting volunteers to join the Longmont Police Department’s Citizen Volunteer Patrol (CVP), a community-based program that assists officers with non-emergency duties and neighborhood outreach.
The volunteer program is designed to supplement police operations by assigning trained community members to tasks that do not require sworn officers, allowing patrol officers to spend more time responding to higher-priority calls while increasing community engagement.
