Colorado’s planned Front Range passenger rail service officially has a name, a look and now a personality.
Why it matters: CoCo — short for Colorado Connector — is more than a cute nickname. It will become the public face of a campaign to persuade voters to pay for the long-promised rail line linking Front Range communities from Fort Collins to Pueblo.
Driving the news: The Front Range Passenger Rail District, which is leading the rail project, unveiled CoCo’s new brand Sunday, as well as its new mascot — a fox.
- Officials picked a fox because it’s a native Colorado animal “known for agility, intelligence, and the ability to navigate diverse landscapes with ease.”
- The logos are designed in a bubbly font with orange and blue colorways, akin to throwback Broncos colors.
The vibe: The brand is “confident and trustworthy, with a fun, lighthearted spirit,” officials said. “CoCo draws its personality from the people, places and unmistakable character of Colorado’s Front Range.”…
