Two of the three associations representing Poudre School District employees have launched a petition asking the district to review Superintendent Brian Kingsley’s compensation package and suspend salary increases for his cabinet while reductions in staffing and programming continue.
Concerns about the Board of Education’s June 16 approval of an extension to Kingsley’s contract that included a $4,746 increase to his tax-sheltered annuity and public disclosure of the salaries of several members of the superintendent’s cabinet and other executive positions prompted the discussion that led to the petition, the presidents of the employee associations told the Coloradoan in separate phone interviews June 30.
Three cabinet members are receiving annual salaries in excess of $230,000 a year, and all eight earn $178,000 or more.
