TIMNATH, Colo. — Anglers will have a unique opportunity to fish at Timnath Reservoir starting July 13 as Colorado Parks and Wildlife has implemented an emergency fish salvage aimed at reducing fish loss caused by declining water levels.
Anglers over the age of 16 still need a valid 2026 Colorado fishing license, but many rules have been lifted. All bag and possession limits are lifted, and all legal methods of take are allowed. The town is temporarily waiving shore and non-motorized watercraft permits normally required for fishing access.
