BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – An 85-year-old cyclist died Monday morning after being struck by a car at Highway 119 and 83rd Street, southeast of Longmont.
The crash occurred at 7:58 a.m. when a gray 2010 Chevrolet Equinox struck the bicyclist. First responders performed CPR at the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at 8:06 a.m.
According to initial findings from the Colorado State Patrol, the cyclist was traveling southbound on the right shoulder of Highway 119. As he attempted to turn left onto 83rd Street, he made three lane changes into the far-left lane and crossed in front of the southbound Chevrolet…
