LOVELAND, Colo. (KDVR) — NOCO Humane is asking for financial assistance after taking in 108 cats from three suspected hoarding situations in the last five weeks.

“These are 108 cats that desperately needed help, support and care right away, from behavioral support, guidance and love to veterinary care. That is most likely care they were not receiving prior to being here,” said Scott Wendelberger with NOCO Humane.
Wendelberger said that 46 cats were recovered from a single residence after the owner’s death. 42 cats were brought in from a separate suspected hoarding case that is still under investigation, and 20 cats were surrendered by an owner who reached out for help.
Of the 108, Wendelberger said a small number were euthanized for medical reasons. Some of them have already been adopted and others are available for adoption now. He said these cats are healthy and need homes…
