DENVER (KDVR) — Ahead of a press conference on Friday, the Poudre School District revealed a recommendation by the Comprehensive Planning Committee to close and consolidate numerous schools.
The district’s website cited a continued decline in the number of school-aged youth in the community and about 10,000 empty seats district-wide.
The press conference, scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday, is set to discuss those recommendations, with Superintendent Brian Kingsley and Board President Jessica Zamora scheduled to make comments about the situation.
