Longmont now has a direct public transit connection to Denver International Airport after RTD launched its new Route AL SkyRide service Sunday.
The route gives Longmont travelers a one-seat trip to the airport, eliminating the need to first connect through Boulder or another transit hub. According to RTD’s final September service plan, buses run hourly from about 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
Route AL starts near Eighth Avenue and Coffman Street in downtown Longmont, then travels south along U.S. 287. It stops at the Niwot Park-n-Ride and Lafayette Park-n-Ride before continuing to Denver International Airport via E-470…
