DENVER (KDVR) — A prayer vigil outside the Colorado Capitol on Friday honored the 606 individuals in Colorado who have been missing for a year or longer.
Lawmakers, advocates and loved ones gathered on the stairs of the Capitol to declare Feb. 4 Colorado Missing Persons Day.

In attendance was Tabitha Spann, whose daughter Miranda Conner went missing a year ago from Federal Heights.
“Just recently they did assign a new detective, so it’s feeling more promising. He’s listening and keeping in contact with us, but prior, it just felt like we weren’t getting anything,” Spann said.
Conner was last seen on Feb. 3, 2023. According to the investigation, Conner took an Uber from her home in Federal Heights around 1 a.m. to meet someone.
Her phone last pinged around 4 a.m. on Feb. 4, 2023, near 85th Avenue and Pecos Street. Someone later found the phone and returned it to the family, but Conner remains missing.
“I think somebody has her or took her because we haven’t found her yet. I don’t necessarily think maybe that she’s deceased, but we won’t know until we do find her,” Conner’s mother said.
