Loveland lights up for Valentine’s Day with festive display

(Loveland, CO) Colorado’s “Sweetheart City” is the destination for romantics.

Loveland (a.k.a “Sweetheart City”), a charming town about 45 miles north of Denver, embraces Valentine’s Day.

The town’s streetlights are decorated with large customized wooden hearts, and people from around the world send their Valentine’s Day cards to Loveland for the collectible hand-stamped postmark.

There is an annual Sweetheart Festival, a large group wedding on Valentine’s Day, and Colorado’s largest “love lock” sculpture.

There is also a love-themed music and light display.

Loveland Valentine’s Day Lights is a walk-through display with thousands of pink and red twinkling lights, holiday-themed decor, and a soundtrack of love songs. It is the ideal spot for a romantic evening stroll.

The festive light display is at Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra (5995 Sky Pond Drive). The 30-minute light and music show runs on repeat between 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. every evening.

Loveland’s Valentine’s Day Lights runs from February 1st through February 18th. It is free and open to the public.
