The Greeley Police Department in Colorado continues its search for a driver involved in a fatal hit and run incident that took place a year ago. On February 4, 2023, emergency services were alerted to an incident at the intersection of 35th Avenue and 4th Street. A vehicle had hit a pedestrian and left the scene. The victim, 53-year-old Christopher Barnes, was severely injured and later died in a local hospital.

The Greeley Police Department Traffic Unit was called to the scene due to the serious nature of the incident. Investigators are now looking to identify a vehicle of interest. The vehicle is described as a gray, 2019 – 2023 Dodge Ram Mega Cab pickup truck. The truck has a large space behind the rear doors and is believed to be a “Sport,” “Blackout,” or “Night” edition due to the lack of chrome and reflective badging.

The truck is thought to have minor to moderate front end damage from the incident. The police department is asking anyone with information about the truck or the incident to come forward. They emphasize that any information could help bring justice for Mr. Barnes’ family and friends.
