Boulder County Parks and Open Space will host an event to showcase shortgrass prairie ecosystems on Aug. 15. According to a release, rangers invite community members to participate in “The Hidden Worlds of the Shortgrass Prairie,” which will take place between 6 and 7 p.m. at the Longmont Public Library at 409 Fourth Ave.
