Fort Collins police ask for help locating suspect in fatal Old Town shooting

Fort Collins police are asking for help identifying a man they’ve identified as a suspect in an Old Town shooting over the weekend that killed one person and injured another.

Police released a video and photo from surveillance cameras in a news release Tuesday night. The shooting happened about 1 a.m. Sunday at 215 Remington St. The address corresponds with the parking lot off Oak Street at Remington.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a medium build, around 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, with tattoos on his arms and braided, waist-length hair.

The news release said he was last seen on Remington Street south of Mountain Avenue, wearing a black T-shirt with a reflective logo on the front, black pants and black shoes.

On Tuesday, police said the suspect is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

“If you see someone you believe to match the description, please do not approach,” the news release said. “Call your local law enforcement agency immediately.”

They also said they are looking beyond Fort Collins.
