What police in Kersey initially thought was a kidnapping, turned out to be a family misunderstanding Monday. The Greeley Tribune reports a CodeRED alert was issued Monday night near the University of Northern Colorado, with a report of a juvenile boy being forced into a vehicle, Garden City police saw the vehicle shortly after and initiated a traffic stop, pulling the vehicle over near 7th Avenue and 20th Street. Family members inside the vehicle told police it was a family dispute. Nobody in the vehicle wanted to pursue charges.
