Guest Editorial: Edge of Insight: Struggling to survive – The true cost of Estes Park’s utility rate hike

As the Town of Estes Park pushes forward with utility rate hikes and costly infrastructure projects like the Loop, many of us are left wondering how we will afford our next grocery bill. Three local businesses have already shuttered their doors, victims of the Loop project we never had a chance to vote on. Yet, the powers that be seem deaf to the struggles of the working poor in our town – people like me and my neighbors who are fighting to put fresh food on our dinner tables.
