Woman shot by deputy after pursuit facing multiple charges

DENVER (KDVR) — Tuesday, Deputies shot a woman who was allegedly armed with a gun after an early morning chase through Larimer County. Saturday, she was released from the hospital and booked in jail on a previous warrant and multiple new charges.

Following an investigation, the 8th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team provided a summary of the incident on Saturday when the woman, identified as Emily Louise Minugh, 54 of Berthoud, was booked into the Larimer County Jail.

According to a release from the 8th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team , a deputy spotted a 2007 Honda Accord on Highway 402 and East Frontage Road, looked through their records and found the owner, Minugh, had a warrant and a revoked license. The active arrest warrant was for failing to appear for driving under the influence.

Minugh did not yield to the emergency lights and sirens, according to the release, eluding deputies at speeds exceeding 100 mph.
