Teens Charged In Fight At Youth Services Center

A fight in the lunchroom of the Platte Valley Youth Services Center last month leads to charges against two 18 year olds. A third juvenile boy was also implicated in starting the fight, but will not face charges as an adult. According to the Greeley Enterprise, police arrested Jermaine Jackson and Luis Loya-Perez – both 18 – on Aug. 21, saying they started a fight with other inmates as they were walking through the lunchroom, injuring a detention employee who tried breaking up the fight. The pair face charges of second-degree assault of a detention employee and inciting a riot in a detention facility, according to Colorado court records.
