Larimer County plans ‘License to Wed Bash’ on Sept. 14 for couples planning to get married

The Larimer County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is holding a “License to Wed Bash” on Saturday, Sept. 14, for couples planning to obtain wedding licenses.

Couples wanting to get a wedding license will have the opportunity to do so in a “special, festive event,” county spokesperson Kirstyn Wilson wrote in a news release. No judges will be present to perform a marriage at the event, but couples can self-solemnize if they wish.

The event, designed “to make the process easy and fun,” will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in the County Clerk’s Office on the first floor of the Larimer County Administrative Offices, 200 W. Oak St., Fort Collins.

Couples are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure a smooth experience, the news release said. Additional information and appointment bookings are available on the county’s website .

“We’re looking forward to celebrating love and commitment with couples in our community at this new and exciting Clerk and Recorder event,” Larimer County Clerk and Recorder Tina Harris said in the release.
