ID wanted of thieves who filled pickup truck bed with roofing supplies: Longmont police

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Longmont police officers are hoping the public can help identify a pair of thieves who broke into a Longmont business on Sunday morning.

According to Longmont Public Safety , the pair broke into a business in the 300 block of 1st Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8. The area is bordered by railroads, and is only a couple blocks from Longmont’s police headquarters on Kimbark Street.

The thieves filled a pickup truck’s bed with roofing materials before leaving. According to the agency, the pair were driving a red truck. The truck appears to be either rusted or losing its paint on the roof and tailgate.

Police are asking that anyone who can identify the pair or who has surveillance video of the truck in the area contact Longmont Office Whittet at 303-774-4300, ext. 2440, or call the Longmont Emergency Communications Center at 305-651-8501 and reference report number 24-8386.
