Fort Collins is taking civic engagement to the streets, literally, with its upcoming Open Streets event on September 15. In a move aimed at fostering direct dialogue between Fort Collins City Councilmembers and residents, a series of informal community listening sessions are slated to occur along the temporarily car-free Shields St., stretching from Mountain Ave. to Lake St. Each Councilmember will be available at designated times to hear from constituents, starting with Councilmember Emily Francis at 10 a.m. and concluding with Councilmember Tricia Canonico at 2 p.m.
