Birding hikes, starry nights and other outdoor events in Larimer County this month

Fort Collins will continue to see some warmer days this month, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to do in Larimer County.

From starry nights with the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society to guided hikes to learn about open spaces , below are some events through the end of September. Some events require registration and others might be on a waitlist.

  • Echoes in the Moonlight Hike: Tuesday, Sept. 17
  • Tiny Trekkers: Where Does the Water Go?: Thursday, Sept. 19
  • Beaver Brouhaha!: Friday, Sept. 20
  • Starry Sky Soirees with Northern Colorado Astronomical Society: Saturday, Sept. 21
  • LGBTQIA+ Hiking Together: Building Community Through Nature: Tuesday, Sept. 24
  • Beginning Birding Hike: Thursday, Sept. 26
