Slightly cooler weather and a chance of precipitation coming to Fort Collins this week

Fort Collins is having a drier-than-usual September , but rain over the next few days might bring the numbers up.

Last month, the Coloradoan reported the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center called for Colorado’s weather from September through November to be above average for temperatures and below average for precipitation.

Here is the latest National Weather Service forecast for the start of the week in Fort Collins:

  • Monday : A high near 84 degrees and a low around 51 degrees, a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 pm, and wind gusts as high as 22 mph.
  • Tuesday : Increasing clouds with a high near 85 and a low around 46, a 70% chance of precipitation, and wind gusts as high as 30 mph.
  • Wednesday : Sunny with a high near 80 and a low around 48, wind gusts as high as 21 mph.
  • Thursday : Sunny with a high near 82 and a low around 50.
