Where good news shines
Colorado State athletics has a big night planned for Friday, Oct. 11.
The Ram Good Time Gala, which include the induction of five former athletes into the CSU Athletics Hall of Fame, is scheduled for Canvas Stadium. Tickets are on sale now at the athletic department’s website.
The five inductees:
—Deedra Foss (Walker) (volleyball, 2011-14): Foss was named a third-team AVCA All-American in her senior season and was named the 2014 Mountain West Player of the Year and the 2013 and 2014 Mountain West Setter of the Year.
—Garrett Grayson (football, 2011-14): Grayson finished as the best quarterback, statistically, in Rams history, setting 20 passing records. He was the first player for which CSU created a Heisman Trophy campaign. He was the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year in 2014.
—Kristen Hemphill (Nichols) (track and field, 2005-10): Hemphill was a 2010 All-American in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and won three Mountain West championships. She broke the school record in the 3,000 indoor run and the outdoor 3,000 steeplechase.
