Colorado couple filling trailer with supplies to help hurricane victims

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — As recovery efforts continue in the wake of Hurricane Helene, and Hurricane Milton is around the corner, it is a scramble to clean up the rubble and aid the victims impacted.

One Colorado couple is taking it upon themselves to help. Christine Gwinnup and Drew McClellan, who live in Weld County, bought a 20-foot trailer and have announced they are going to be filling it with food and supplies to bring out to victims.

“We’ve both been through some really hard times in life so you know, we’ve never been through a hurricane or a flood but we know what hard times are like, and even though we’ve been through hard times, we’ve also been blessed. And blessed people bless people,” McClellan said.
